About Heather Prusik, PA-C

Heather Prusik is a board-certified family medicine physician assistant who joined Family Practice Center in August 2023. She has been working in Family Medicine since 1995. After receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry/Nutrition from Rochester Institute of Technology, Heather went on to earn her Master’s from the Emory Physician Assistant Program. Before joining Family Practice Center, Heather was with the Decatur Clinic for 26 years. She specializes in preventative care, with a focus on cardiac and vascular health. She enjoys Family Medicine for its unique ability to develop relationships with her patients over time. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA) and the Georgia Association of Physician Assistants (GAPA). When she’s not in the office, Heather enjoys spending time with her husband, two sons, and outdoor activities like traveling and exercising.
