Specialty: Family Practice

About Leah Macklin, D.O.

Dr. Leah Macklin grew up in Dunwoody, Georgia, and obtained her undergraduate and Master’s degrees in chemistry from Georgia State University. She attended medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM-GA), and completed her residency in family medicine in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She is board-certified in Family Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine. She has a passion for nutrition and physical activity as a way to prevent and treat chronic medical conditions.

She has, also, won Top Doctor in Atlanta Magazine.

For anyone unfamiliar, D.O. stands for Doctor of Osteopathy, which in practice is the same as a Medical Doctor (MD) as they share the same residencies and require the same board-certifications. D.O.’s practice more holistically and can perform a therapeutic technique called osteopathic manipulation.

Ella habla español! Dr. Macklin sees patients six years of age and older. She is experienced in many different types of care, including joint injections, skin care, and contraception management. Dr. Macklin likes to spend her free time camping, Jiu Jitsu, wakeboarding, and skiing. She also loves cooking with her husband, and walking her dog, Gogo.
