About Rachel Sohnen, APRN, MSN, FNP-C

Rachel joined Family Practice Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2022. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Georgia Southern University in 2012 and a Master’s in psychology from the University of West Georgia in 2017. Rachel initially worked at Family Practice Center in 2017 as a medical scribe with aspirations to become an Advanced Practice Provider specializing in mental health. Inspired and encouraged by the providers she worked closely with every day, she went on to obtain her RN and MSN from Emory Nursing School in 2021 before returning to the practice in her current role. Rachel has a passion for mental health as well as LGBTQ medicine. Her clinical rotations were focused in internal medicine and gender-affirming care. In her free time, she enjoys climbing and hiking.
