In the past, screening for fatty liver disease could be a difficult process. But thanks to the FibroScan® GO Non-Invasive Liver Health Screening system, now available at our Family Practice Center Atlanta/Sandy Springs location, it has never been easier or more comfortable for patients.
We are able to use FibroScan® GO to detect metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) (also known as non-alcoholic fatty liver) disease earlier and more effectively than ever before. This advanced form of diagnostic testing uses sound waves to create an image of the liver. This image is then used to detect structural changes to the liver, including stiffening, scarring, or the accumulation of fat in the area. FibroScan® GO can be incredibly helpful for people with a higher risk of MASLD associated with health conditions like type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity, hyperlipidemia, and prediabetes.
