If it has been about a year since your last physical, it is a good time to schedule a visit and stay current on preventive care.
Physical exams help you keep up with screenings, immunizations, and routine health checks based on your age and history.
Changes in sleep, energy, weight, mood, or appetite are important to bring up during a physical exam.
A physical exam gives your provider the chance to review risk factors and recommend the right next steps for your health.
Regular exams help track your health over time and support the management of conditions that may need ongoing attention.
A yearly exam can help you understand where your health stands and what steps support your long-term wellness.
Your physical exam is a chance to check in on your health, review any changes, and plan for the year ahead. Our team guides the visit with clear communication and thoughtful support.
Call any of our Georgia locations or request your appointment online. Our staff will verify your insurance and help you understand which preventive services are covered at no cost under your plan.
Your provider will perform a thorough physical exam, review your medical history, and discuss any changes in your health since your last visit. This is the time to bring up any concerns, from a new skin mark to changes in energy or sleep.
After your exam, your provider will discuss findings, order any recommended lab work or screenings, and outline a plan to support your health goals for the coming year. We call with all results and schedule follow-ups if needed.
Family Practice Center, PC participates with most major commercial insurance plans, and we recommend verifying with your insurance carrier that your specific plan is accepted before your visit. It’s your responsibility to provide current insurance information at each appointment and to confirm that our providers are in-network with your plan.

A complete physical wellness exam typically takes 30 to 45 minutes, depending on your health history and any additional screenings needed. We encourage patients to allow enough time for a thorough evaluation.
Under the Affordable Care Act, most insurance plans cover one annual wellness visit at no cost. However, additional diagnostic tests or treatment of specific conditions may not be fully covered. We verify your coverage before your appointment to help avoid unexpected costs.
We offer same-day appointments, daily walk-in availability from 7:30 to 8:30 AM, and telemedicine visits so you can address new or urgent concerns without waiting for your next annual exam.
No. Urgent care centers are not permitted to perform the preventive health exams and comprehensive screenings that we provide during a complete physical. Annual physicals offer a level of care and continuity that a one-time urgent care visit cannot match.
Services aligned with your care plan and long-term health needs.
A physical exam gives you dedicated time to review your health, track changes over time, and stay current on preventive care. It helps create a clearer picture of your overall wellness and gives your provider the information needed to guide your care with consistency.
At Family Practice Center, physical exams are part of a long-term approach to staying well. Whether you are keeping up with yearly care, reviewing risk factors, or discussing changes in your health, our team is here to support you with thoughtful, personalized care.
