Welcome back to our ongoing Family Medicine Provider of the Month blog series. For anyone new here, we like to use these entries to help put a face to the name so to speak, and help our readers get a little more familiar with our family medicine physicians and other fantastic providers. Doing so helps create the kind of lasting bonds with our patients that has made Family Practice Center one of the highest rated family medicine practices in the southeast. So without any further ado, we are proud to present our Family Medicine Provider of the Month for April, Dr. Smita Kapoor.
Dr. Smita Kapoor is a board-certified Family Medicine Physician who has been with Family Practice Center since April 2024. This month actually marks her one year anniversary of joining our practice! Originally from India, Dr. Kapoor attended medical school there before relocating to Phoenix, Arizona, where she completed her residency in Internal Medicine at The Maricopa Medical Center. In her nearly 20 years of primary care experience, Dr. Kapoor has achieved many things, including being a member of the American College of Physicians (ACP), American Medical Association (AMA), and a co-founder and President of the Indian Community for Physician Women of Arizona (ICPWR).
Dr. Kapoor has a varied expertise and is able to cover all aspects of primary care medicine for our patients, including internal medicine, chronic care maintenance, women’s health services, preventative medicine, and much more. No matter the nature of the appointment or health concern being discussed, Dr. Kapoor always prioritizes the health, wellness, and comfort of her patients. She prides herself on being able to build and foster long-term relationships with all her patients.
