Celebrating Nurse Practitioner Week at Family Practice Center Here at Family Practice Center, we appreciate every member of our medical team and the work they do for our patients. However, in honor of Nurse Practitioner Week, a national observance of nurse practitioners, we wanted to single out our incredible Nurse Practitioners and all that they bring to our practice. After all, we wouldn’t be able to provide the top-level medical care and healthcare services that our patients expect without them.

For anyone who is unclear of exactly what nurse practitioners do, it’s frankly quite a lot. A nurse practitioner can perform primary care and urgent care services for patients, as well as work with patients regarding acute medical conditions. At Family Practice Center, our Nurse Practitioners may be responsible for a wide variety of patient care duties including assessing, diagnosing, ordering, and interpreting diagnostic test results, as well as prescribing medications. Simply put, our nurse practitioners serve as the connective tissue between every area of our practice.

We wanted to take a moment to spotlight our incredible Family Practice Center Nurse Practitioners who help make so much of what we do here at Family Practice Center possible. Missy Keith (RN, BSN, MSN, FNP-C), Lauren Bexley (MSN,APRN,FNP-C), Rachel Simpson (RN, MSN, FNP-BC), and Meagan Short (MSN,APRN,FNP-C) are truly the best. Each of them brings a unique blend of experience, knowledge, compassion, and a true desire to help our patients to every appointment in our office. Our patient care simply would not be the same without them.
