Welcome to the newest installment in our recurring Family Medicine Provider of the Month blog series. For patients looking for a new doctor or medical practice, it can often be incredibly helpful to put a face to the name they’re seeing online when searching. Credentials, experience, and online reviews are obviously critical factors to keep in mind, but there can also be immense value in being able to get a little more familiar with a potential family medicine physician and their approach to patient care. This is why we are so excited to present our Family Medicine Provider of the Month for May, Dr. Ernestina French.
Dr. Ernestina French is a board-certified Family Medicine Physician who has been with Family Practice Center since August 2024. A native of the Atlanta area, Dr. French earned both her Bachelor’s degree in Biology and African studies and her Master’s degree in Public Health from Emory University. She attended medical school at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and completed her medical residency at Atrium Health (then Carolinas Medical Center) in Charlotte, North Carolina. She is currently a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and Georgia Association of Family Physicians, as well as the Ghana Physicians and Surgeons Foundation, where she serves on the executive board as Vice President.
Dr. French enjoys practicing the entire breadth of family medicine. This includes preventive medicine services like routine wellness visits, women’s healthcare, and so much more. She prides herself on her ability to create and foster long-term collaborative relationships with her patients, and helping them implement healthier lifestyle changes to promote long-term health and wellness over time.
