Dr. Wheeler founded the Practice in 1979. Hundreds of patients trust Dr. Wheeler as a five-star provider. He is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. He earned his medical degree from the University of Alabama Medical Center, Birmingham, Alabama. He completed his internship at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles County Hospital. Dr. Wheeler completed residencies in Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts, and in Family Practice at UCLA. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Family Practice and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Wheeler has served as Chairman of the Department of Family Medicine at Northside Hospital. He is an adjunct professor of medicine at the Emory University School of Medicine and at the University of Washington. Dr. Wheeler has also been recognized as a Top Doctor by Modern Luxury – The Atlantan Magazine with Castle Connolly & Atlanta Magazine.
