Internal Medicine Atlanta
At Family Practice Center, PC, our board-certified family-medicine physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners specialize in family medicine and preventive healthcare. As a family medicine practice, we offer internal medicine services, as well as minor in-office procedures, gynecological care, and medication management for depression, anxiety, insomnia, and ADD/ADHD. Our primary care doctors also focus on orthopedic problems, skin lesions, and colon screenings. When possible, we address all of a given patient’s issues in one visit, saving you time, money, and hassle. As an added convenience to our patients, some of our providers accept Medicare, as well as many of the leading health insurance providers.

With expertise in chronic illness, solving complex diagnoses, and the diagnosis and treatment of multiple illnesses in the same patient, we offer top-notch services in the field of internal medicine. Our doctors are experts in handling simple or complex medical issues, with an approach that treats the whole patient to resolve their health challenges and help them achieve the best outcomes.

Our primary care doctors are proud to serve the communities of north Atlanta. We provide services in our office Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am – 4:45 pm, and some Saturdays from 8 am – 11:30 am. We also coordinate care with the patient’s team of specialists in the hospital, ICU, or extended care facility, when necessary.

Internal Medicine FAQs:

What health conditions can Family Practice Center providers help diagnose and treat?

Here at Family Practice Center, we pride ourselves on offering a wide variety of healthcare services for our patients. In addition to diagnosing and treating common illnesses and health conditions like viruses, infections, high blood pressure, and bone fractures, we also perform several areas of specialty medicine. This includes women’s health services, weight management services, integrative medicine techniques like acupuncture, and much more.

How will I know if my internal medicine appointment is covered by insurance?

Before any appointment in our office, our staff will provide pre-screening questions that include a discussion of each respective patient’s health insurance. Our staff prides itself on communication and making sure each patient feels informed and comfortable heading into their appointment.

Will I always see a doctor during my internal medicine appointment at Family Practice Center?

It depends on the nature of the appointment. While we do have several experienced, board-certified family medicine physicians available for appointments, not every appointment requires their presence. Our staff includes nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other medical professionals all more than capable of providing a helpful and convenient family medicine experience for our patients.

Are appointments required for internal medicine visits at Family Practice Center?

In most cases, patients will need to make an appointment in order to be seen by one of our providers. However, we do offer morning walk-in appointments to accommodate patients in certain circumstances. Additionally, we offer telemedicine visits that may be more convenient for certain patients as well.
