Weight Management Services

The healthcare providers here at Family Practice Center, PC are passionate about comprehensive wellness for the body and mind. It’s a fact that good mental health and good physical health work in-tandem when considering a person’s overall wellbeing. This is why we provide weight management services when appropriate, as a means of helping our patients look and feel their best while improving their physical health, building self-confidence, and reducing medications for chronic conditions.

Establishing and maintaining a healthy body weight can be very difficult for many people, especially as they grow older. However, doing so can be an incredibly important part of preventing many common health concerns for adults. Our weight management services are designed to help our patients make sustainable and meaningful lifestyle adjustments to help control their weight in the short and long-term. Doing so can help reduce the risk of heart disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes, as well as common mental health issues like depression and anxiety.

Weight management services at Family Practice Center include the following:

  • Professional nutritional counseling and guidance
  • Exercise and physical activity planning
  • Prescription medications including Mounjaro®, Wegovy®, Ozempic® and Semaglutide
  • And other lifestyle improvement professionals

If you have any questions about our weight management service, don’t hesitate to reach out to us for an answer. For more information or to schedule an appointment to discuss your options, please contact Family Practice Center today.

Weight Management Services FAQs:

Q: Do you perform weight loss surgery?

A: No. Weight loss (bariatric) surgery, and other cosmetic procedures like liposuction, can only be performed by a board-certified bariatric surgeon or plastic surgeon. While we will be happy to make a referral to such a specialist in cases where we feel it would be helpful for our patients, those are not services that we provide at Family Practice Center.

Q: Is there a specific diet that Family Practice Center professionals recommend?

A: Here at Family Practice Center, we understand fully that every patient we assist is unique. So instead of developing one diet for all patients, we take everyone on a case-by-case basis to ensure that every person receives a specific weight loss management plan that is right for their needs.
